They are designed for high std thermal efficiency (over 94%, liquid or gas firing) achieved by means of a large furnace, correct heat release rate between radiant and convective sections, efficient burning system added to heat recovery system.

Available in a wide range of capacity, CLAJTUB series offers two different standard designs:
  • PACKAGE BOILER: pressure part designed for a steam capacity up to 60 ton/h and design pressure up to 80 bar. The Boiler is fully shop-assembled and hydraulically tested before delivery. Modular standard design or custom-made design are available for both pressure part and peripherals (burning system, air fan and controls). 
  • FIELD ERECTED BOILER : steam capacity up to 150 ton/h and design pressure up to 80 bar. Boiler’s main component is shop modular manufactured to get a higher quality control std. Auxiliary accessories and components are prepared to be ready for an easy on site erection.

In both cases furnace is a full water walls type one ( Water walls are realized as prefabricated panels).

The result is that the furnace is gas tight and corrosion due to the condensation of gaseous leaks is avoided, thermal efficiency is improved and the use of refractory is minimized, as a consequence maintenance expenses are lowered and the need of inspections is reduced. 

Thanks to the large number of shop pre-assembled parts, it is possible to build Clajtub boilers in the way that reduces, as much as possible, erection time and expenses, maintaining a high quality standard.
 
Drums' internals
Drums' internals are designed to provide high purity steam, this is possible by the use of a wide steam scrubber  that also assures intense steam generation, even during wide load changes. Drums' internals also allow free end flow, in this way turbulence and level fluctuation are minimized.
 
Super-Heater
Clajtub generators represent a modern concept of “D” shaped design, an advantage of this solution is that the super-heater can be put in a protected position within the convective section of the boiler, so that it is not exposed to the radiant effect of the flame. There is more, this location allows the use of dedicated inter-stage attemperators that provide a strict temperature control over the entire super-heater.
BONO's super-heaters are well proven and completely drainable.
 
Economizer
The economizer is selected according to the fuel used and the performance required, different designs and arrangements are available.
Even if standard designed economizer is composed of finned tubes, it is very compact.
To maximize heat recovery and minimize cleaning up shut-downs' number, fin’s type and their dinstance are carefully chosen.
Different models of sootblowers can be easily located between each tubes’ bank, in the cross over duct, in this way long terms overall efficiency is maintained.
The use of the economizer allows a smoother boiler operation, a faster boiler’s response during peak steam demands and an improved efficiency that minimizes effects on the environment and operating costs.
 
Combustion system
The combustion is fully automated, BONO offers a wide selection of combustion control systems starting from user-friendly microprocessor electronic type up to PLC systems with individual regulating actuators for each controlled loop. Boilers are fitted with Venturi type, high efficiency, axial flow burners, able to work with low air excess.
Usually low Nox burners are mounted, ultra-low Nox burners (25 ppm Nox at 3% O2)  can be installed upon request, with double or triple air register.
Movable and externally adjustable gas spuds are basic features of BONO ENERGIA’s  Ciclonox or primary brand burners suppliers.
Fuel oil atomisation is obtained by means of compressed air, low pressure steam (wide modulation range) or by mechanical atomisation. BONO experience in combustion includes natural gas, refinery gas (H2 reach), coke oven gas and “lean gas” coming from the process.
